General Manager for Uber Sub-Saharan Africa, Alon Lits began his career in the leveraged finance division of Investec Bank Limited. He joined Uber in 2013 as its first General Manager in Africa, where he later became General Manager for Uber in sub-Saharan Africa. As of 2018, Alon moved into his role as Director. He is responsible for the development and sustainable growth for the business and team across seven countries and 16 cities. Alon was born and raised in South Africa and is passionate about the continent. He holds an MBA from INSEAD and is also qualified as an Associate of the Faculty and Institute of Actuaries in the UK.
